|Frequently Asked Questions Help Center|
Q: I have downloaded and installed a game, how do I uninstall it?
A: Our games and our toolbar can be uninstalled by going to your Windows Control Pannel, select the Add/Remove programs option, find the appropriate item in the list, and select the remove option. In addition most of our games may also be uninstalled by selecting the uninstall option from the desired menu for that game under your Windows start menu.
Q: I have downloaded a game but it will not install, the download may be corrupt.
A: Sometimes a game can get corrupted during download. Please un-install the game, re-download it, and completely re-install it.
If that does not work, sometimes your computer may remember the old corrupted download. Please follow these steps to help force your computer to download a fresh copy.
1. Close all your web browser windows.
2. Clear your browser cache.
In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, select Internet Options, then hit the Delete Files button under Temporary Internet Files. This will remove cached files from your machine. In Firefox, go to Tools, select Clear Private Data, make sure Cache is checked, and clear private data now. For other web browsers please consult your browser's Help system to learn how to clear the cache.
3. Save the installer to a NEW location. Please follow the original instructions to download and save your game, but save it to a DIFFERENT LOCATION THAN YOU DID BEFORE. If you saved the game to your Desktop, save it to a folder on your hard drive instead (for example). Once you have saved the file to this new location, run the installer to put the game back on your computer.
If the above do not work, then your computer may be infected by a virus. Please run a virus scanner on your computer to see if there are any problems.
Q: A downloaded game crashes or has problems, how do I update my video graphics drivers?
A: Many of our downloadable games make heavy use of the Microsoft DirectX, OpenGL, and separate video card drivers. If your game has problems or crashes, you can typically fix the problem by updating ALL OF THESE.
See the following to get the latest Microsoft DirectX drivers.
See the following to get the latest video card and OpenGL drivers based upon what video card you have. The latest OpenGL drivers are typically automatically installed when you update your video card drivers.
www.ati.com - (very common) If you have an ATI Technologies based video card.
www.nvidia.com - (very common) If you have an NVidia based video card.
www.3dfx.com - If you have a 3DFx based video card.
www.matrox.com - If you have a Matrox based video card.
If your video card is not in this list, try this site that has a large list of video card drivers.
To determine what type of video card your Windows computer has, go to your Windows control panel, select the display icon, from the display properties screen select the settings tab then select the advanced button, from the driver properties screen select the adapter tab. ATI and NVidia video cards are most common these days.
Q: Game displays "Havoc Xtra Required", how do I get the Havoc Xtra?

Q: Don't see how to download game, what can be downloaded?
A: Only some of our games are available for download. See the following link.
Q: I am getting a virus warning message from a downloaded game.
A: Please note we rigorously test our games using many current virus scanners and our games are 100% spyware, adware, and virus free.
Sometimes a virus or spyware scanner incorrectly identifies our games as having a virus, trojan, or spyware. If this happens please update your virus scanner and the problem will typically go away. Otherwise look for and use a setting in your virus scanner that will disable the scanning on the directory where the game is installed. You could also temporarily disable your virus scanner, however we do not recommend this and if you do be certain to re-enable it after you are done so that you stay protected.
